Noted Limited

Based in Wellington, New Zealand, Noted was founded by Scott Pearson in October 2015 to realise ideas he had developed to capture and report on pragmatic clinical outcomes.

He saw access to this data as being important to inform clinical practice and resource allocation, with opportunities to improve outcomes and efficiency of care.

Scott realised that it would only be possible to capture enough data if the system also made the lives of staff much easier. Noted didn’t just have to revolutionise note taking; it also needed to take a fresh look at client management in its entirety.

With a quickly growing team, product and customer base, Noted is committed to improving the lives of health and social workers and the people they care for

Rob has 24 years’ experience working in public health and 12 years as joint-director of a health consulting company. His clients include government agencies (e.g. Ministry of Health, Department of Corrections), DHBs, Primary Health Organisations, ACC, and providers within the aged residential care sector. He also works with state government health agencies in Australia, and the World Health Organisation.

Victoria MacLennan
Director

Victoria is a renowned figure in the digital and technology sector. In 2016 Victoria was awarded the NZ IT Professional of the Year award. Victoria is Managing Director of OptimalBI, invests in start-ups and holds many mentoring, advisory and board appointments. Victoria is co-Chair of NZRise (a community of Digital and Technology Businesses), a member of the Digital Economy ICT Talent Forum and the Digital Technologies Curriculum Implementation group.

Richard Watts
Director

Richard co-heads the Simpson Grierson’s intellectual property group, advising a number of the world’s leading companies in the FMCG, pharmaceutical, IT, and sports industries. Richard is highly regarded in copyright law, particularly in relation to IT and new technologies, having advised a number of the world’s favourite brands in relation to the launch of their new electronic and web products in New Zealand. His practice also covers non-contentious and contentious IP; international licensing and enforcement; trademark protection, enforcement and border protection measures.

Ian Sutton
Director

Ian is passionate about elegant solutions and keeping things simple yet flexible. Ian founded his own business intelligence software company in 1997. As CEO and chief architect he grew the business to the point that half of all insured Americans had their health data being processed with his company's software. He sold the business in 2015 to its largest client (Aetna). Ian now supports other emerging innovative and driven New Zealand companies.

Scott was a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner from 2011 to 2016, and co-founded the eight bed Newtown Acupuncture Centre in 2014. Prior to working as an acupuncturist, Scott was co-founder and CEO of animation software startup, Character Animation Technologies Ltd that was sold to Avid Technologies Inc. in 2006. He also had a 16 year career in broadcast design, founding his own studio in 1998. He was nominated for an Emmy in 2003.
